Easing Into The New Year

So far the first couple of weeks have been ok. Work been busy as we have been doing prototypes for the show in Birmingham which opens this Sunday. I don't think I've ever known it to be so chaotic as it has been regarding protos. They didn't know what was going until last minute and then becomes a rush. At least that is done now and begins the catching up at work as it has put us behind with all the production, we have been here before!

Still not been back to the gym yet, just can't seem to get myself there, or even show any enthusiasm to go, I will, it is just a mind set I have to sort. I looked at myself in the mirror and I'm looking fat in all the wrong places which is depressing. I have got some ideas for recipes for losing weight so they are going to be tried for my dinners at work! Nigella does a great butternut squash and sweet potato soup with is really nice, so will do more of that!

The last few days my back has been playing up with the old injury I carry with it, I don't know what has set it off but it kept waking me up last night so I'm sat with a water bottle on my back warming it through and hopefully will sort it out! It's one thing after another, shows how unfit I am though! I was asked to go running last week from a guy I follow of Twitter, I declined but that is another goal to aim for, if I can get my arse out of the chair!

Latest News!

I need a holiday, my Easter break is coming up next week and I just can't wait. Spring is suppose to be here but it has been snowing here and it is so cold. I need some sunshine or something to remind me that spring is just around the corner. I'm fed up of wearing winter clothes and not being able to wear less layers and wear stuff that I'm not gonna get soaked in!

Diet is going well, today I got weighed and I'm 81.2kgs which is around 12st 10lb which I'm chuffed about as I know the diet is beginning to work. I just need my knee to be ok. enough to get me to the gym anyhow. Hopefully tomorrow I'll get there and I can start to shift the pounds and get back to the weight I was any maybe lose a few more pounds and get to see my abs, that's my goal anyhow. Here is a photo of how I look right now, not very flattering but that is what I want so I can see where I was to where I get to!

Diet Time

The diet has started again today, I'm trying the diet I went on last time, cutting out carbs and eating chicken, veg and fruit. I had results last time and I'm hoping they will start again to show. I also want to be in reasonable shape for when I get back to the gym, so that I have the energy to get back into the cardio and weight training without having to lose weight first, then get into the cardio. I want a photo of me when I start the diet this time to compare for when I get so far into getting back in shape so I can look and see the results. I ought to get weighed and measured but to be honest right now I really can't be bothered tonight, maybe tomorrow!

Trying To Be Positive!

There seems to be so much I want to set and achieve this year, my fitness is right up there at the top which I am so surprised about. This time last year I never even thought about being fit but it is amazing how you change. The trouble with me is, I have it all set in my mind, but soon as I get home I just want to stay in, where it is warm and sit in front of the PC all night surfing and playing music. I need to start and get to the gym more regularly although I did get there yesterday (Sunday) and tomorrow is my training night with Steve. He made my night last Friday as he remarked how toned I was looking, I'm getting there!

I need to make changes to my diet too, stop eating so much bread. It is whoelwheat bread I'm eating but lots of it, from sarnies to toast, I even had home made fish cakes and they had breadcrumbs in them too! Also I need to look at my breakfast too, maybe trying to eat eggs, well maybe but I might have to boil them the night before otherwise I just might not have time for them!

Otherwise, I'm really chuffed with how things are going health wise, at this moment I weigh 76.6kg or 12st 2lbs. My fitness is really good although there's always room for improvement. My body shape is slowly changing and yes, there are muscles there too! Roll on summer, vests, tops and shorts, me thinks I'm gonna be posing this summer and why not!

Bling Tooth And Changing Eyesight

I went to the dentist on Thursday to finish my crown. I'm now the proud owner of a silver tooth and it is taking some getting used to, obviously it does feel different but at £200 I'll get used to it.
On Sunday I went to get my contact lense check up and to my amazement, my right eye is getting stronger. It has gone from 3.75 to 2.25 and my lense is going to be changed but not by that much as it will affect my balance. Now I have 3 boxes of unused contact lenses to get through before I get my new box. So every weekend and holidays I have got to wear my contacts!
The diet is sort of on, I've been reading some of the Paul mcKenna book and it does make sense and my eating habits are changing, I can tell already as I'm eating slower and not feeling as hungry as I used to.

Dieting And Reading

This weekend I went back to the gym for the first time in Ages. I did enjoy it and had a sauna at the end but I really need to get back there more regularly to get back into shape. I went for a bike ride (the first one this year) and really enjoyed it too. I only went to Beverley but it was nice to get into the fresh air. I rode down Long Lane and managed so far riding no handed which was really good for me, as it means the old balance is still there! I bought 2 books this weekend too, the Hiary Bikers latest cook book and a dieting book by Paul McKenna. His book deals with reconditioning the brain not to eat when it wants or when you are bored. Hopefully it will help me control what I eat, fingers crossed!
